College ApplicationsTypically recommend to get your college application in by Thanksgiving; Some deadlines are EARLIER, check with your college!
Know the colleges application process (Common App, Send Edu, on-line, paper-pencil)
Once you decide on a college, let the other schools you applied to know you will not be attending with them
Common Application
Early Decision vs Early ActionEarly Decision - you are legally bound to attend the college; they could charge you tuition if you do not attend
Early Action - you receive an early response to your application but you are not bound/committed to attend
Letters of Recommendation*If you need a letter of recommendation for a college or an employer, ask a teacher/counselor/coach that knows you well.
*Be courteous: give two weeks minimum notice
*Provide a resume of your accomplishments and activities completed.
*For counselors we have a SENIOR BRAG SHEET available in the counseling office that we require to complete letters.
