Invitation to students worldwideTamayouz is delighted to invite students of Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning,
Architecture Technology and Landscape Design worldwide to register and submit their
Graduation Projects. An independent international jury will review all entries and will select
the winners of Tamayouz International Award 2018. Prizes include: An MSc Scholarship for
2 Years at the Polytechnic University of Milan, supervisor the Year Medal, University of the
Year Medallion. All the selected winners making the TOP 3 list, the supervisor of the
year and the university of the Year will be invited to attend our annual Tamayouz
Excellence Award ceremony (Travel Expenses covered by the organisers of the Award).

Tamayouz Excellence Award (Established in 2012) is an independent initiative with no political
affiliation, which aims to advance the profession of architecture both academically and
professionally. Tamayouz is dedicated to supporting aspirational and transformative projects
tackling local and global challenges informed by a holistic understanding of context.

In 2016 Tamayouz Award Launched an International Excellence Award for Graduation Projects worldwide. This Award is open to architecture, urban design and planning, landscape design and architecture technology students around the world to submit their graduation projects.

▪ You (if Participating as an individual) or your team members (if participating as a team) are
expected to present your project to your school or graduate between 01/09/2017 and
31/08/2018*.
▪ Participants to submit work done only in their final year of studies regardless of the project
nature, programme, budget and scale (Students can submit graduation projects or any other
final year design project as long as it was produced in their final year of study).
▪ If a Team / individual would like to submit more than one project then each submission will
need to be registered as a separate entry.
▪ If you participated in Tamayouz International Award’s previous year, you are not eligible to participate this year.
*Finalists will be asked to provide Proof of their status as a final year student graduating during the specified period.
EligibilityOnly if all the following conditions apply then you are eligible to participate

- This is an anonymous competition and the Unique Registration Number is the only means of
identification.
- The official language of the award is English.
- The registration fee is /£20 (Great British Pound) and it is non-refundable.
- Contacting the Jury is prohibited.
- Tamayouz Award, as the award organiser, reserves the right to modify the award schedule if
deemed necessary.
- Entries will not be reviewed if any of the rules or submission requirements are not considered.
- Participation assumes acceptance of the regulations.

ceremony, in 2017 it was held in Amman - Jordan. This year’s City will be announced later in the year.
The Ceremony
Prizes are per entry, for team entries, prizes will be split between the team members evenly.
*The Travel Scholarship has a limit of $1500 per winning entry.

RELEVANCE: A clear declaration of conditions that set the contextual parameters of the project through
identification of local challenges, construction and living culture.
RESPONSE: Aspirational and original projects with programmatic response to existing environmental and social
conditions and local challenges.
RESOLUTION: Spatial, material and technical justification. Clarity of design process.
IMPACT: Clear definition of positive transformative social, spatial and environmental impact of the project.
VISION: Aesthetic, materials and technical ambitions.

award, for this reason we advise you to
register on your own.

This option is open for Institutions
interested in sponsoring their students to
participate in Tamayouz International
Award, this type of registration is suitable
for Institutions interested in showcasing
their students’ work on a global platform.
