GRADUATION EXERCISES SPEECH
STANLEY JAEGGER M. ZABALA
GUEST SPEAKER
MARCH 22, 2013
When I was younger I thought success was something different. I thought, " When I grow up, I
want to be famous. I want to be a star. I want to be in movies. When I grow up I want to see the
world, drive nice cars. I want to have groupies." But my idea of success is different today. For
me, the most important thing in your life is to live your life with integrity and not to give into
peer pressure, to try to be something that you're not - to live your life as an honest and
compassionate person; to contribute in some way.
DepEd Officials, municipal officials, guests, faculty and staff, graduates, proud parents.
A new phase of life starts today as we embrace ourselves in the challenges of the future. Another
milestone has just finished yet another one comes. Our dear achievers and graduates, your
achievements are just parcel of what you will have in the future. Let not be blinded with these
simple things that you have attained. Let not be contented of being just the good but be the best.
Our dear graduates, as you end your 6 years of journeying in this school, think of the sacrifices
of your parents who painstakingly dedicated themselves just for you to be cloth with good
education.
“Iti adal nga inkayo nasursuro iti daytoy nga pagadalan ket maysa nga banag nga di pulos
maiyadayo wenno matakaw iti unos iti panagbiagyo. Usarenyo ngarud daytoy nga kas salaknib

yo iti ad adu pay karit iti biag. Haan kadi ng iti kinakurapay iti rason tapno haan kayo
makaturpos iti panagbasayo no di ket aramatenyo daytoy nga inspirasyon yo tapno agballaigi
kayo.”
May I request you dear graduates to stand up, and look into the faces of your parents now. What
can you see in their faces? Can you not see in them the feeling of pride that their sons and
daughters are now graduates of elementary education? Can you not see in them the tears falling
from their eyes that their dreams and aspirations for you are now becoming a reality?
Now look into your teachers, how many of you have thanked them already? How many of you
have asked for an apology? They deserved to be recognized today as you are for you are their
products in terms of educational aspect, social aspect, emotional aspect, spiritual and the like. In
their faces are full of confidence that you will march towards victory and the attainment of your
dreams. They are happy not because they will be no longer seeing your naughtiness but they are
happy because they are setting you to another nest of excellence.
Dagiti apo nga nagannak, saludo ak iti inkayo pinagabasa kadagiti anak tayo. A kas kuna tayo, iti
adal ket maysa nga kinabaknang nga intayo maipatawid kadagiti annak tayo. Bayat iti inda

To our dear teachers, thank you for clothing these individuals with the light of learning. Thank
you for patiently moulding these individuals. Thank you for scolding them when you must and
can for them to realize their mistakes.
Agyamank kanyayo apo nga mangisursuro ditoy nga pagadalan. Ta dakayo iti maysa nga
nangtubay kadagitoy nga ubbing. No man naloko da idi, adda kayo nga nangbagbaga kanyada.
Uray ado iti rigat yo nga nangisuro kanyada ket makita yo met ita iti nagbanagan dagitoy adu

Ket agyamanak la unay iti daytoy nga gundaway nga inted you kanyak.
To you our dear achievers, and non-achievers, take chances. It does not matter if you fail.
Remember what Thomas Edison said when he invented the electric bulb, “I failed one thousand
times, for me to succeed.”
I challenge you then graduates. Explore new oceans, explore new territories, explore new worlds.
Bring with you all the values and learnings that you acquired. Don’t be afraid to fail and try.
Spread your wings and soar high. Whenever your feet leads you, remember the Almighty Father
who will guide you. But once you fail, stood up and never never ever give up.
