Ike 4 th Grade Weekly News Nov. 26 th - 30 th *In math, we will be learning about multiples and division of multi-digit numbers. *In social studies, we will continue with the West Region. We will taking a mini-quiz regarding climate and natural resources on Thursday (Hufflepuff group)/Friday (Ravenclaw & Gryffindor) *In writing, we are will complete our End of 1st Trimester Writing Tracker writing and begin our new unit; Literary Essay. *In science, students are reviewing the view from the Earth concepts for the post Assessment on Wednesday. We will also take a further look at Earth’s process while learning about erosion. *In reading, we will be continuing in our genre unit for Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing along with a strong focus on our guided reading groups/literature circles. We will be working on narrative text features and focusing on finding the main idea. Spelling Lists: 10 or Week 4 (short O). This Week Notes and Reminders Our note regarding parent-teacher conferences will be coming home on Tuesday. Our Field Trip is Next Friday. Please send in any remaining ticket money and permission slips. For those parents Chaperoning the trip, We will have a short meeting at 3:40pm-4:10pm in the Media Center on Thursday, November 29th. Thank you! Students need to bring winter coats, hats, and gloves to school for outdoor recess. Please assist your child in planning for outdoor recess. Students need to complete 15 Green Days in Reflex in order to qualify for the November incentive. Homework Please check your child’s green folder daily for homework.
