Reproduction is the process through which living things produce young ones
of their own kind.
It is important for living things to reproduce because it helps them to maintain the balance in the number of their own kinds. By reproduction, living things also
pass on their features their young.
Some animals give birth to young ones. For example, cows give birth to calves, tigers give birth to cubs, dogs gives birth to puppies, and cats give birth to kittens.
Some animals lay eggs. For example, birds, fish, snakes, and frogs lay eggs. The eggs hatch and young ones come out of them.
