We have started a new bible study by John MacArthur, “The Jesus You Can’t Ignore”. Jesus was passionate about his ministry. He was not always a meek and mild teacher. Jesus was challenging the religious traditions of the day. Why were these leaders so protective of their traditions? What about false teachers? MacArthur will lead us to look at all the sides of Jesus and knowing his character.

Please considering making time to join us on the second Tuesday in July.

Praying for our Nation… Every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m., a group of prayer warriors meets in the sanctuary for the sole pur-pose of praying for our nation. If you cannot attend, please join us in prayer from your home or office dur-ing that time as we follow the command to pray for all those in authority. “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all peo-ple, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Just a reminder that the WIC is still collecting pennies for our missionaries! If you have any spare change that you’ve been looking to get rid of, feel free to drop it in the container in the Foyer or in the Sunday School Rooms. The money will be used to help the missionaries that Grace Presbyterian Church supports..

We have started something new

this year at Grace.

We have a display in the foyer with

a basket of toy soldiers.

Please take one or more of these soldiers. Place them

somewhere in your home

As a reminder to Pray for our Military, everyday !!!

We have Bible Study every Wednesday at 10:30 am. Please join us to fellowship and learn more about our Lord Jesus Christ!

Grace Notes

A women’s prayer group in my country holds regular monthly prayer sessions for Ghana and other African countries. When asked why they pray so incessantly for these nations, their leader, Gifty Dadzie, remarked, “Look around, listen to and watch the news. Our nations are hurting: war, disaster, diseases, and violence threaten to overshadow God’s love for humanity and His blessing upon us. We believe God intervenes in the affairs of nations, so we praise Him for His blessings and cry for His intervention.” The Bible reveals that God indeed intervenes in the affairs of nations (2 Chron. 7:14). And when God inter-venes, He uses ordinary people. We may not be assigned huge tasks, but we can play our part ot help bring about peace and the righteousness that exalts a nation (Prov. 14:34). We can do that through prayer. The apostle Paul wrote, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Tim. 2:1-2). As the psalmist exhorted the ancient Israelites to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Ps. 122:6), so may we pray for the peace and healing of our nations. When we pray in humility, turn from wickedness, and seek God, He hears us. - Lawrence Darmani (from Our Daily Bread)

Lord, we pray today for the peace of our nations. We ask for Your intervention as we turn to You in confession and repentance.

We praise You for Your blessing and Your provision. Amen.
