Driving Directions: From Bay Bridge to Ghiradelli Square

There are many ways to get to these places. These directions for those who do not know.

1. Cross the Bay Bridge (80 W)2. Exit Fremont St. and follow signs to Folsom St.

Fremont St. is the first exit from the Bay Bridge immediately after entering the City, it will be on the right side.

3. Left onto Folsom St.4. Left onto The Embarcadero.5. Left onto Beach St.

The Embarcadero will meet Beach right at Pier 39. You can actually count up the Pier numbers til you get to 39.

6. 8 blocks up Beach turn left at Larkin.7. The Square is on the right. Street parking should be available around that block.

Driving Directions: From Ghiradelli Square to the Battery

1. From wherever you are, get to Bay St and turn right (West towards Van Ness)Bay St. is 1 block “up the hill” or “away from the water” from the upper part of the Square. The streets in order are Beach St, North Point St, then Bay St.

2. After 5 or 6 blocks turn right at Laguna St.3. Laguna turns left and becomes Marina Blvd.4. Marina Blvd will become Hwy 101.

There may be is a steep incline and speed up during this transition from Blvd to Hwy.

5. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge.6. Take Alexander Ave exit, but on the exit stay left following the sign towards South 101,

San Francisco.Alexander Ave is the second one after the bridge. The first is the Vista point, the second is

Alexander.

7. Do not re-enter the Freeway. Before the freeway entrance, turn right and go up the hill.You might see a small sign on the right saying “Marin Headlands” or “Hostel”

8. A dirt parking area will appear on the left. Park there.

Driving Directions: From the Battery to Bay Bridge

There are many ways to get to these places. These directions for those who do not know.

1. Down the hill, turn right to enter onto 101 South.2. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge. There is a toll of $5 on the SF side of the bridge.3. Stay on the right after the Toll area, Exit onto Richardson Ave/101 S towards Lombard

St. The sign might say “Downtown Lombard St.”

4. Turn right at Divisadero.5. Turn left at Geary.6. Turn right at Gough.7. Turn right at Fell.8. Turn left at Octavia.9. Octavia will lead you to the onramp for 101 South, which leads to the Bay Bridge.

(Alternate Route)Instead of turning right at Divisadero (step 4 above), continue on Lombard and turn right at Van Ness.Continue on Van Ness, past City Hall, etc. After passing Market St signs will come up for 80-E, Bay Bridge.
