Experiment Design
• Compare the GPS dot accuracy on an iPhone 2, 3GS and 4 plotted on a Micello indoor map of Valley Fair Mall, San Jose, CA
• Micello Map of Valley Fair Mall is geo-accurate and the blue dot shows the location identified by the device. The surrounding circle shows the margin of error.

Results
• The GPS accuracy as reported by the device has significantly improved from iPhone 2, to 3GS to now, iPhone 4.
• 3GS and 4 definitely give more accurate position, the margin of error is significantly less in iPhone 4.
• iPhone 4 GPS seems to be accurate to within 5 meters inside a building.
