A college educa+on bestows not just cogni+ve skills – mathema+cal, historical, and scien+fic knowledge – but prac+cal skills – social, emo+onal, and behavioral competencies. Tenacious, confident, and socially competent employees have an edge over equally cogni+vely talented employees who lack those prac+cal skills. What students cannot learn online are precisely those skills.
