Course Fees
Distance learning• Included in price of kits.
Classroom Based• $595 non-refundable fee will be charged per person, per class. This fee must be pre-paid at time
of registration. Payment can be made by credit card (VISA/Mastercard) or check.• Fax completed application form to 847-689-7510.• All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Confirmation• We must have a minimum of 5 students registered to hold a class. Confirmation letters will be
mailed within 7 days of registration or after the minimum of 5 students have registered.
Cancellations• If you must cancel or reschedule your training date you must do so at least thirteen (13) days
before your scheduled class date. If you fail to cancel at least thirteen (13) days before yourscheduled class date, the course fee will not be refunded.
• BRP reserves the right to cancel any location (if minimum student count level is not achieved, orcircumstances beyond our control.)
Attendance Policy• BRP provides a smoke-free working environment. Smoking is not allowed inside the BRP Train-
ing Centers.• Wear clothing and closed toe shoes appropriate for a service shop environment.• Classes begin promptly at 8:00am.• A minimum standard of performance and full attendance is required to earn a diploma. The
course work includes an intensive review of printed service information and requires minimumlevels of reading and writing skills.
• The student is evaluated through hands-on projects and homework assignments.
Travel• BRP is not responsible for students cost of travel, lodging or meals while they are attending a
training course.• Cashing out-of-town personal or business checks might be difficult.• Students who travel by air usually rent a car. Public transportation is often limited.

• $595 non-refundable fee will be charged per person, per class. This fee must be pre-paid at timeof registration. Payment can be made by credit card (VISA/Mastercard) or check.
• Student must be a full-time or contract employee of a federal, state, county or city agency, or onan active duty with the United States armed forces.
• Student must be working in direct support of Evinrude® or Johnson® outboards at the facility.Verification of government job classification and applicant’s outboard repair responsibili-ties may be required.

Course Profile
This self–paced interactive CD based course is designed to be the first in a series of formal trainingexperiences related to Evinrude® and Johnson® outboards. It provides an understanding of the theoryof operation of two and four stroke powerheads, fuel, oiling, ignition, electrical and trim/tilt systems. Italso includes information on correct installation, propeller selection, storage and pre-delivery.
Objectives
After successfully completing this course the student should be able to:

GOVERNMENT ADVANCED TRAINING
Course Profile
This intensive training class is 85-90% hands-on self-paced learning. A technician will learn byperforming repair and diagnostic procedures at individual task stations. The students earn one creditfor each task completed. The course will be customized for each student based on the modeloutboards they support. If student is supporting special military outboards (pumpjet, MFE,submersible), they must attend the Morrow, GA facility.This class focuses on the specifics of Evinrude/Johnson products and is for the experiencedtechnician. It requires at least average reading and comprehension skills. A large portion of this classis devoted to computer, diagnostic software, and electrical diagnostic skills.
The student will return with a list of the competencies they have demonstrated.
Enrollment Requirements• Student must be a full-time or contract employee of a federal, state, county or city agency, or on
an active duty with the United States armed forces.• Student must be working in direct support of Evinrude or Johnson outboards at the facility. Verifi-
cation of government job classification and applicant’s outboard repair responsibilitiesmay be required.
• Student must have successfully completed all Essentials™ series training programs.

Facility
The Waukegan Training Center occupies 12,000 square feet in the North Central portion of BRP’sWaukegan facility. The location is approximately 35 miles north of Chicago, on the lake Michiganwater front. The Training Center has three classrooms used for presentations and three hands on labareas used for product tear down and testing. Also located at this facility are eight state of the art testcells. In these cells, we can run Johnson® and Evinrude® outboards, of any horsepower.

Facility
The training center occupies 10,000 square feet of space adjacent to the Atlanta Parts andAccessories distribution center. The facility has 2 classrooms dedicated for lecture presentations and2 lab work areas dedicated for hands on training and testing. The 2 lab areas have 17 fully equippedbenches. Six sound proof test cells are available. These test cells provide students the opportunity todiagnose and experience “real life” running situations in a controlled environment.
