NOTIFICATION

No. 1 9 6 9 9 /H., Dated, Bhubaneswar, the 24th July' 2014 IMed-XXIA-138/2012

On the recommendation of the Odisha Public Service Commission, Cuttack, the following 65(sixty-five) number of candidates are hereby appointed as Assistant Surgeons in the rank of Group - 'A' (Junior) of Odisha Medical & Health Services Cadre in the scale of pay of Rs.15,600-39,100/- + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- and other allowances as admissible and sanctioned by Government from time to time and posted to the places as mentioned against each under column- 6 with immediate effect.

1. The appointment is purely temporary and terminable at any time without prior notice and without assigning any reason thereof.

2. The above Notification is available in the Health & F.W Department website http://www.odisha.gov.in/health_portal/index.html. The appointees are requested to down load the copy of this Notification from the website and produce the same before CDMO concerned for their joining. The CDMOs in their turn are requested to accept the joining report of the doctor concerned on production of the copy of the Notification downloaded from the website.

3. The appointees should join at their places of posting within 30(thirty) days with effect from the date of issue of the Notification i.e. by 23.08.2014 failing which, their appointment shall be automatically cancelled.

4. The appointments are subject to their medical fitness to be determined by the Medical Board and their character, antecedents are found to be satisfactory after verification. In case, adverse report is received, the services of the candidates concerned would be terminated forthwith.

5. No T.A. / D.A. will be allowed to join the place of posting.

6. In the event of non-existence of a vacancy at a particular place / institution, the CDMOs will accept the joining report and will adjust the Asst. Surgeon against any other vacancies available under their disposal. It will be the responsibility of the CDMOs to furnish necessary proposal to Government for issue of revised order forthwith.

7. The Asst. Surgeons who are appointed against the consequential vacancies due to promotion / declaration of Specialist / transfer may be allowed to work against any other vacancies in the district under intimation to Government.

8. The newly appointed Medical Officers are required to undergo induction training as would be decided by Government.

9. The doctors who are continuing their PG study or working as Senior Resident / Tutor and in case, they are selected for regular appointment on the recommendation of the OPSC may be allowed to join at the places of their posting in the periphery and relieved by the concerned CDMO on the next day in order to enable them to continue their PG study or their Senior Residentship / Tutorship in the

respective Medical Colleges on submission of an undertaking to join and serve under the State Government at the places of posting on completion of their PG study / Senior Residentship / Tutorship.

10. The Medical Officers while working in the periphery service in case selected for PG study or any higher study or for undergoing Senior Residentship / Tutorship in future through the counselling will not be relieved by the concerned CDMO to join the course without obtaining prior permission from Government.
