To ensure healthy and hygienic living conditions adopting modern, cost effective, energy efficient and eco-friendly

to the weaker sections and low income groups through the public sector agencies under the Department1

To strengthen the regulatory frame work in order to curb the unhealthy practices in management and construction activities of both Public

and Private Sector.3

To formulate and implement Rental Housing Schemes for Government Employees, Displaced Labour Class and Working Women's

To propagate the Green Building Technology concepts in building construction6

The subsidy of Rs. 25,000/- isdisbursed to beneficiaries only oncompleting the roof of the unit with

the help of the NGO's. Thedemand is very poor as the

subsidy amount provided is less.

The subsidy is disbursed tothe beneficiaries on

completing the constructionof the units upto roof level.

Disbursing the subsidy to 300units is considered as

excellent.

The scheme is intended to provideassistance to EWS category to buildhouse in the land owned by them.The scheme implemented on 2005

and continuing. The number of unitsfor which subsidy is disbursed to the

beneficiaries identified by NGO's

The assistance proposed per unitis Rs. 10,000/-. As assistanceoffered is very low compared to

the construction cost, there is notmuch demand for the project and

The local self Governmenthas to complete the

procedure for submitting thedetails of beneficiarieseligible for assistance.

Giving assistance to repairthe roof of 500 units is

considered on excellent.

The Scheme is intended to provideassistance for repairing roof of the

houses constructed under One LakhHousing during 1972-1976. The

number of units for which assistancecan be disbursed to the beneficiariesthrough local self Government for the

repairs of roof of the housesconstructed under MN One Lakh

Housing Scheme.

Being multi story buildings, thetarget can not be fixed in terms of

units. It is fixed based on thephysical stage of construction.
