PaI'a 20830(a)- Temporal>' Speed Restrictions

The instructions regarding sped restriction, in electri fled sections are beingnotified under GR-17.09. The temporary speed restrictions shall be imposed byElectrical(TRD) Deptt, as per GR-4.09 wherein a caution order shall be bandedover to driver at the stopping station immediately short of the place where suchprecautions are necessary. While imposing temporary speed restrictions, thefollowing guidelines shall generally be followed: -

;.

Whenever temporary mast is provided, speed restriction of about 15-40 krnph isimposed: depending upon the site conditions. Then the new mast is provided, thefoundation of which takes about 5/6 days for curing and after that only OHE isshifted to the new mast. -Total time taken in this process is about 10 days fromthe date-of imposition of speed restriction depending upon the availability ofblocks. ' :

(i)

Whenever mast gets bent due to.accidents etc. same is straightened using trifor.Speed restriction of about' 30-60 krnph is imposed depending upon siteconditions/stagger profile. Bent is removed during next 3-4 days depending upon

.. the availability of blocks.

, (iii), Whenever there is extensive damage to 0[-1E due to Pan to entanglement etc. but, not affecting the masts, or-IE is attended by using temporary droppers etc. and

speed restrictions of about 30-60 kmph is imposed depending upon siteconditions and restoration of sectional speed takes about 4 days depending uponthe extejit of damage and block availability ..

I. Total track kms electrified section - 6502. Brief particulars of traction system: -

The type of Over I-lead Equipment installed on main line of the section is of the simplepolygonal type with swiveling brackets having tensions in the conductors regulatedautomatically. The tension in the catenary and contact wire is kept as 1000 kgf each. Thecontact wire has been given a pre sag of 103 111mfor a span of 72 m (suitably reduced forsmaller spans). On secondary lines and yards, the Over Head Equipment is of fixed typeand unregulated. The contact wire is grooved hard drawn copper with 107 sq. 111m crosssection supported by means of copper droppers from catenary which is stranded (1912.10rnm) with 65 sq. 111m cross section made up of cadmium copper having 80%conductivity. The maximum wind pressure- for design of masts and foundation has beentaken kg/sqrn. Maximum sPJl1 adopted on main lines is- 63 m. The Over HeadEquipment has been designed for a maximum speed of 160 km/h,

The power supply is taken from UPSEB at a single point viz. Aligarh from where railwaysrun their own transmission lines, for feeding the Sub Stations located at Haihras, Khurjaand Sahibabad. At eci&:hof the sub stations two power transformers 12.5 MVA, 132/25KV are installed, one of them acting as standby. Standard arrangement of having neutralof normal/short PTFE type have been provided at the sectioning post between two substations for separation of phases. For sectioning and isolating facilities, sub sectioningand paralleling posts have been provided. All the switching operations at power supplystations are remote controlled from a single remote control center located at Tundla, TheRCC/SCADA system has been provided by (Manufacturer) and is or........... Type (Microprocessor/PC based). The same will be commissioned by(Target date, if not commissioned at the time of making application to CRS).
