• FSSAI has embarked on a large-scale effort to transform the country’s food systemin order to ensure safe, healthy and sustainable food for all Indians throughthe ‘Eat Right India’ movement. The tagline ‘Sahi Bhojan. Behtar Jeevan’, thus,forms the foundation of this movement.
• For the same purpose Eat Right City, a new concept developed and adapted byFSSAI, the following cities are getting prepared for the same,

• A unique initiative amongst it is Eat Right Jail, in which different District level Jailsand Central Level Jails are being audited for Eat Right Campuses and beingawarded a certificate for that. The criteria for the audit for Eat Right Campusesare quite stringent in which pre-audits are followed by training for food handlersand Final Audit being carried to ensure the improvement in hygiene practices andchanging in food habits as well.
• We have 30 Jails within the state of Gujarat including Jail Staff Training centeramongst which 5 are already awarded a certificate and others are in pipe-line.
