Florissa is also funded in whole or in part by The Autism Program, Illinois Department of Human Services, The Hope Institute for Children and Families, fiscal/administrative agent and convener. Teenagers in 8th-12th grade who struggle with feelings of anxiety, worries, sadness, or low mood will benefit from this safe, supportive group. They will learn they are not alone and that feelings do not need to be overwhelming. They will learn specific coping skills they can use to handle their feelings. This group experience is appropriate for teenagers who have struggled with feelings of anxiety or depressed mood and could benefit from this brief, focused group experience. Wednesdays May 25th - June 22nd 4:30-5:30 pm Florissa 144 North Court Street, Dixon (lower level of Edwards Clinic, enter rear door) $50 for the 5 group sessions. Financial assistance is available.
