GORGY TIMING is located in La Mure near Grenoble. Our headquarters and production plant are on-site including R&D, design, sales, production, finance, and customer services.In 2015, the company extended its R&D department and opened offices in the heart of the technology district of Grenoble (Minalogic, Minatec, Grenoble INP, CEA, WTC...). This team is dedicated to SCPTime® (Secured, Certified, Precise and Traceable Time).

We play an active part in the French time/frequency sector and share our experience with academic laboratories, universities, engineering schools and major industrial companies. This collaborative approach helps new metrological technologies emerge and grow.

GORGY TIMING has addressed international markets since the inception of the company, with exports accounting for over 50% of turnover. We have equipped more than 10,000 clients across 85,000 sites located in 115 different countries to date. Our sales and technical teams speak seven languages and our documentation is available in French, Chinese, English, German and Spanish.

1986 • GORGY TIMING received the SICOB 86 Oscar, awarded by the National Interior Designers’ Union (SNAI) for the LEDI 6/60 digital clock LEDI® 6/60.

• The company was also awarded the FONDEXPA Trophy (the Artisanal Export Foundation) by the Minister for Commerce and Services, Georges Chavannes, with the support of Crédit Lyonnais.

1988 • The Ministry of Industry awarded GORGY TIMING the Grand Prix de la Performance Commerciale for the Rhône-Alpes region.

1990 • Christian Marbach, the Director-General for Industry, awarded GORGY TIMING the Microelectronics Oscar. This award celebrates companies that have successfully built personalised ASIC components into their products.

• GORGY TIMING hosted a visit by the President of the National Assembly, Laurent Fabius, accompanied by Didier Migaud, the MP for the Isère department. They awarded the town’s Medal of Honour to Maurice GORGY for his international breakthrough.

1996 - 2013 • Monique Gorgy, General Manager, is nominated as Judge at Grenoble Commercial Court.

2001 • Monique Gorgy was nominated as French Foreign Commerce Advisor on a proposal from the French Foreign Trade minister Christine Lagarde.

2008 • Maurice GORGY was awarded the Légion d’Honneur by the DGA (General Arms Office) for his involvement as Administrator of the Comité Richelieu (French association of innovative small businesses) and the Pacte PME.

2010 • The PME CHINA Prize was awarded by the President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce during the Planète PME Convention in Paris for the strategy developed by GORGY TIMING to penetrate the Chinese market.

2011 - 2018 • François Drouin, the CEO of OSEO welcomed Mau-rice GORGY as a new member of the OSEO Excel-lence association (now Bpifrance), for his entrepre-neurial qualities and innovation development.

2014 • GORGY TIMING is nominated as global leader of the national collaborative SCPTime® Consortium (Secured, Certified, Precision, and Traceable Time) which brings together French time/frequency experts. As project leader, Maurice GORGY presented SCPTime® to the CLIMO parliamentary group (IoT) in the National Assembly.

2015 - 2018 • Nicolas GORGY is named Administrator for the Pacte PME, the college for innovative small businesses.

2016 - 2018 • Nicolas GORGY is elected President of INNOVACS. This federative research structure brings together 15 academic laboratories with knowledge in engineering, human and social sciences.

• Maurice GORGY is nominated as Member of the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Pacte PME National Observatory and represents the College of the French innovative SMEs.

2018 - 2021

• The National Agency for Scientific Research has agreed to launch the FAST-Lab Joint Laboratory. The FAST-Lab is piloted by Femto-ST - the Time/Frequency National Laboratory - and GORGY TIMING.

2018 - 2020

• GORGY TIMING is a partner and sponsor of the CSUG (Space University Center of Grenoble) to take part in the development of the miniaturization of instrument and to the training of engineering students in the space sector.

• GORGY TIMING wins the French Rail Inter-national Development Award. Minister Elizabeth Borne handed over the Trophy in Berlin at Inno-Trans International Railway 2018 trade fair to reward GORGY TIMING for its international excellence driven by innovation.

OUR MAJOR INNOVATIONS

For more than 40 years GORGY TIMING has been actively participating in the technology evolution of the time/frequency field. We are at the root of the following innovations:

1976The first professional LED clock combining digital and analog display.

1986 The development and standardiza-tion of AFNOR NFS 87500 code, now widely known as “the French code” by American military personnel.

1990 The special TGV clock designed to combine a sense of modernity and the new technology of synchronization over long distances.

1998 A range of compact on board clocks for high speed trains (TGV), regional express trains (TER), aircrafts (A380), and military transport (Rafale, helicopters and military ships).

2010The new design of light guided display protected by an international GORGY TIMING patent, improving contrast and increasing the viewing angle up to 160°.

2012 The synchronization of GORGY TIMING’s time servers via NTP (Network Time Protocol).

2014 LEDI®TIMER, range, meeting the requirements of the SESAR plan with which all European airports.

2015 A PTP (Precision Time Protocol) time server integrating a Rubidium or Cesium atomic time base.

2016A patented arbitration system delivering a highly secured synchronization signal to our time servers in order to improve cyber security.

2017 The 4 Biatime® time servers deve-loped within the SCPTime® consor-tium framework. They are accurate to one second or to several nanoseconds when required, and their users benefit from a highly secured synchronization system.

2018The STS protocol is a new secure version of the NTP protocol : “Secure Time Syn-chronization”. International patent.

2019 SCPTview to come: a satellite comparison of time differences to calibrate SCPTime® applica-tions to UTC time.

LOGICIEL D’ARBITRAGE

2014/2018 GORGY TIMING is nominated as the global leader of the SCPTime® consortium. This innovative project with an international reach is supported by the French Prime Minister with the General Commission of the “Investissements d’Avenir” (Investment for the future) and BPIFrance (the French public investment fund). This consortium brings together the French time/frequency experts: 3 innovative SMEs, 1 start-up, Schneider, SNCF, the observatories of Paris and Besançon, the LNE (Laboratoire National d’Essais), and Femto-ST (University of Besançon).SCPTime® aims to offer a highly secure and traceable UTC international legal time to the digital world.
