Grant Proposals Sought for UAS Industry
SOAR Oregon (SOAR), a 501(c)(6) nonprofit established tohelp make Oregon a leader in the civil Unmanned AircraftSystems (UAS) industry, is soliciting grant proposals forprojects that will create UASrelated jobs or generate otherUASrelated longterm economic activity in the state.
"UAS" is defined in the broadest possible sense to include allrelated or supporting technologies and all applications and usesbuilt upon unmanned aerial technologies as well as educationalendeavors. "Oregon companies" include those in the Columbia Gorgeor elsewhere whose operations cross state boundaries.Because grants come from state tax funds, the proposal mustclearly document the benefit to Oregon. Details about SOAR's grant program and the Request forProposals (RFP) can be found at http://www.soaroregon.com/grants/.
