A river is always a pleasure to watch. It is the life line that sustains plant , animal and marine life. It nourishes human civilizations. The poem “The River” describes the movement and the course of the river which ultimately merges into the sea and the voyage, like eternity, continues.
THE RIVERRiver, river, little river !Bright you sparkle on your way ;O’er the yellow pebbles dancing ,Through the flowers and foliage glancing ,Like a child at play .
………………………………………………………………..…………………………………………………………………River, river ! Headlong river !Down you dash into the sea,Sea that line hath never sounded ,Sea that sail hath never rounded ,Like eternity. C.A.Bowles
