Do follow profile linksConsider this: at SEOmoz you must

earn 200 Mozpoints before earning a followed profile link (submit good comments!)

On the other hand, Google+ not only allows you to link to your other profiles across the web, but you can  embed followed links directly into your bio  with the anchor text of your choice.

If you can raise your visibility by getting more people to  engage with you,  share your posts, or  link directly to your profile, the more valuable your profile links become.

Google+CIRCLES

How Circles are organized

Google+ is a social network of your friends, family and other contacts, a way to connect to these people, just like Facebook.

Unlike Facebook, Google+ is built from the ground up around the concept of sharing material with groups of people, called “Circles.”

How Circles are organized

The idea is that you can easily drag-and-drop people into different types of Circles, which you can then use for sharing different types of information.

For example, you can create a “Family” circle where you might chose to share things only with family members in it, while another “Work” circle might contain work colleagues who only see what you share to that.
