Google Classroom for Pupils
Starting Google Classroom
If you are using a computer you must go to www.google.co.uk and ensure that you are logged in with your school account.
Then click on the Apps icon
You can then choose the Classroom app from thelist.
If you are using a mobile device you will need toinstall the Classroom app from the app store. Once installed, start the app and log in with yourschool account.

Your Classes
Select the class name to enter the class.

You will see a list of the classes that you have been enrolled in.Each class has a card which will show relevant information such as tasks set and deadlines.

Class Stream
You will see the Class Stream which has a list of notifications about this class. There will be tasks and assignments as well as announcements from your teacher.

Classwork
When you select the classwork section you will see all of the resources that your teacher has uploaded.
In this demonstration there is only one assignment but you may see topics that group a variety of resources including web-links, video clips, files and quizzes.

Viewing an assignment
When you select an assignment you will see the full description plus any resources that your teacher included as attachments.
The mobile app only shows half of the information that is displayed on the web version of Classrooms.
To see the ‘Your Work’ section, drag up from the bottom of the mobile app.

Attaching your work
By selecting ‘Add or Create’ you are given a list of options that will allow you to attach work to your assignment.
Note that the mobile app has 2 extra features that will allow you to use the camera to take photos of your work or to record a video.

Once you have attached all of your work you can press the ‘Hand in’ button.

By clicking on the ‘MyWork’ icon you will see a list of your tasks. If your teacher has marked a piece of work you may also see a grade or score.

There are times when a private comment between you and your teacher may be required.There is a facility in both the desktop and mobile versions of Classroom to send and receive private comments.
