Benefits Counseling

• Benefits will be discussed at intake and accurate information will be established to help clients and their families make informed choices about working, SSA benefits and how to use work incentives on their journey to self sufficiency.

Choice:

• All clients are presented with a variety of experiences, options and supports to achieve their career goals. Goodwill offers a variety of options for individuals looking for their first job or to gain needed skills for a better job.

Rapid job Search

• Job search begins soon after acceptance into then program.

Control

• Individuals are able to freely act upon their choices and decisions without fear of reprisal and are allowed to experience the natural consequences of their decisions.

Time unlimited support:

• Supports to maintain employment are provided for as long as the client wants the assistance.

• Eligibility Includes: Persons with a disability, work limitation or medical condition ages 16-24 (at acceptance) living in Polk County

• Target Population: Transitioning youth who are interested in obtaining a job/career
