嚴寒隆冬，﹁歲寒三友﹂松竹梅，不畏風霜，傲然挺立，為雪

白大地帶來無限生機。

中國宋代文人雅士以書畫詠嘆歲寒三友，跨越千年之後，設計

師用當代簡練線條，將其化為桌上低吟輕舞的款款詩篇。

松針飄落雪面的痕跡，搖影輝映松雕盤飧美食；

五瓣梅碗柔軟的弧度，將滿盛情意自掌心傳達至唇邊；

舉起高低錯落的竹瓶與竹杯，預祝情誼跨度韶光，節節增長。

In winter snow, only pine, bamboo and plum blossoms can bloom during even the

deepest winter. They are regarded as symbols of perseverance and integrity, and are

known as the “Three Friends of Winter” in Chinese culture.

The “Three Friends of Winter” has been a common motif in Chinese art for over a

thousand years. Today, inspired by a Sung Dynasty (AD 960~1279) painting, designer

Kate Chung interprets the subject with her own poetic design language: the rays on the

plate symbolize traces of pine needles fal l ing on snow-covered ground. The smooth

curves of the plum blossom bowls, calls to mind the kiss of fal l ing petals on palm and

l ips. Finally, the bamboo carafe and cups, standing tal l on the table, invite you to raise

a toast to growing friendship.

﹁品﹂原意眾多，亦指類別。生活品味的基礎，從餐桌

上的每一口酸甜鹹辣開始，細膩慢品各色美食，由品調

味罐組的細心斟酌開始。

品調味罐組是一組中西咸宜，能夠滿足現代餐桌多樣混

搭風格的產品。從椒、鹽、油、醋、辣椒醬到牙籤，可

以自由調配而成適合個人口味和飲食習慣的餐桌風景。

瓶身遁隱於簡練曲木造型底座，誘發食客一探究竟，透

過玻璃瓶身各色辛香一覽無遺，中西薈萃盡收眼簾。瓶

底圓弧設計，巧妙引導使用者物歸原位，餐桌有條不紊，

美食空間更多。

﹁品﹂原意众多，亦指类别。生活品味的基础，从餐桌

身遁隐于简练曲木造型底座，诱发食客一探究竟，透过

玻璃瓶身各色辛香一览无遗，中西荟萃尽收眼帘。瓶底

'Taste' is a tabletop condiment set which allows for a wide range of seasoning and

condiments to be assembled to suit individual taste and culinary customs - Western

and Asian alike. Various tops can be combined to al low for different types of

condiments, including salt, pepper, oi l, vinegar, chil l i and spices. 'Taste' can even

accommodate tooth picks which are commonly found alongside the condiments. Hiding

the transparent glass bottles in a plywood stand, the condiment set invites discovery.

Ingeniously, the round-bottom design of the bottles prevents them from standing on

their own, prompting the user to return them to the stand after use and that way

ensuring the table remains orderly and uncluttered.

主廚刀和削皮刀以強化陶瓷製作，堅硬銳利，不需打

磨，適於細切和削片。中式菜刀以高耐性不鏽鋼製成，

兼具重量與鋒利的刀身，不僅利於斬剁，也能展現出

細膩的刀工。

砧板以上等竹材高密度壓製而成，耐磨不落屑。專利

的雙面設計，一面是竹紋縱剖面，平滑緊密，適合切

'Sino' is a compact set of kitchen knives with a unique Chinese character

designed to address most domestic cooking needs. The set includes a large

chef's knife and a smaller paring knife, both with advanced ceramic blades which

are specif ically suited for cutting and sl icing without the need for regular

resharpening. In contrast, the traditional Chinese cleaver has a durable stainless

steel blade which combines the weight required for chopping with the sharpness

necessary for more delicate cutting operations. This careful consideration of

material ity is further reflected in the matching double sided chopping board.

Machined from laminated bamboo, it has an edge grain cutting side and an

opposing end grain chopping surface which can withstand the impact of the

cleaver without damaging its blade.

Bamboo meets porcelain. Made purely by hand.

Bamboo and porcelain, two quintessentially warm Chinese materials, are

combined through innovative techniques and made purely by hand to create

tableware suitable for contemporary use. Chinese love to eat. Besides that,

Chinese love to eat with a full table, with everything served and on display at the

same time. These family bowls share a simple slanted rim. The combination of

porcelain and bamboo creates warmth and love for a family meal.

Rice grain porcelain is a traditional Chinese porcelain

technique dating back to the Ming dynasty(A.D. 1368). It is

characterized by a refined and semi translucent f inish.

Adopting this traditional craftsmanship, RICE plays with the

subtle contrast between glazed and un-glazed finishes to

create a set of daily dinnerware with a delicate sophistication

米通瓷，亦稱玲瓏瓷。製作時，於泥坯上細

心刻出米粒狀鏤孔，填入玲瓏釉料，再入窯

焙燒而成。線條簡潔純粹，下緣表面無釉處理，

更添細膩手感。除了作食皿使用，亦是生活

空間裡恬淡逸雅的美物。延襲古代米通工藝，

技成八瓣葉狀，其冰瑩剔透，似雪。影隨光

走，猶如冬時細雪，靜悄紛紛。

米通瓷，亦称玲珑瓷。制作时，于泥坯上细

心刻出米粒状镂孔，填入玲珑釉料，再入窑

焙烧而成。线条简洁纯粹，下缘表面无釉处理，

更添细腻手感。除了作食皿使用，亦是生活

空间里恬淡逸雅的美物。延袭古代米通工艺，

技成八瓣叶状，其冰莹剔透，似雪。影随光

走，犹如冬时细雪，静悄纷纷。

The minimal design and the attention to details are to awaken the sense of touch

while in use. With no ambition to translate the philosophy of the key figure of

Chinese Taoism, Lao Tsze (500B.C.), designer tries to visualize her understanding

for this master’s thinking: harmony between the being (有you) and the non-being

(無wu). To keep the design as minimal as possible is to compel the user to focus

on the void emptiness, the hollow part for holding food. Consistent and floating

l ines in this series have made your own free combination on the table a fun and

an artistic event

利，是因為所營造的﹁無﹂發揮了作用。簡化近至無的設計，

僅於細節處做變化：平盤邊緣微微翹起，與深盤及碗內緣的弧

型突起相互呼應。為求產品給人的細膩手感，更致力於生產工

藝上對邊緣薄度的要求。

Designer applies the characteristic call igraphic l ines of Shou Jing T i, a font created

by Emperor Song Hui Zong (1082 AD-1135 AD), in the design of this cutlery set. A

crafted balance between the sturdiness of stainless steel and the art of Chinese

call igraphy is created and the l ines of the handles echo bold brushstrokes.

柔平衡的挑戰。宋徽宗所創的﹁瘦金體﹂，運筆飄忽快

捷，筆跡至瘦而不失其肉。設計師將東方書寫灑脫明快

的氣韻融入西方餐具組，並同時將剛硬而飄逸的東方線

條置入筷匙組與螃蟹組，稍具厚度的握柄線條來自書法

筆觸，同時顧慮到使用者的施力習慣。

Bamboo is a durable evergreen plant that stands tal l

despite extreme conditions. The Chinese consider

bamboo as representing the ideal qualit ies of the

superior man: the inner hollowness representing

humil ity and durabil ity in al l conditions representing

incorruptibi l ity and moral fortitude.

Inspired by the shape of the bamboo stalk, German

design team designscheider has created a tranquil

centerpiece for the modern home. Without f lowers,

the vase can stand along as a glowing centerpiece; or

with f lowers the combination of materials heightens

the essence and vital ity of whatever is showcased

within. The semi-translucent duotone glass is a result

of craftsmanship from the Qing Dynasty. Fired at high

temperatures, it is a product of only the most skil led

glass-blowers, who formed the vase piece by piece.

KateChungDesign

A family of simple teacups that initially seem identical but soon show

their own subtle personalities. The basic silhouette of 'Persona' is a

contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Chinese tea cup and

lid. Closer inspection reveals a series of individual texture-like

patterns which are almost more tactile than visual.

The true quality of these cups is only fully appreciated once held in

the hand or up against the light, when the translucency of the

delicate porcelain accentuates the patterns.
