Difficult word definitionsThis book uses a lot of onomatopoeia so this concept would need to be explained in order for some of the children to understand these words. It may be necessary to act some of these words out. Does anyone have a pet at home? What noise does it make?Like the drip, drip noise a tap makes. Well we call that onomatopoeia and there are lots of animal sounds in this story.
