Good Men Magazine

3
Finally, a REAL Men’s Magazine No it's not Men's Health or Men's Journal, Maxim or Esquire, Vanity Fair or even GQ. Think O for guys with New Yorker writing all built around the fundamental question, "What does it mean to be a good man?" The idea that men don't read and should be treated like Neanderthals has, thankfully, come to a screeching halt. Guys--white, black, rich, poor, straight, gay, famous, and everyman--are searching for something more. We all want to be good fathers, sons, husbands, and workers. But from recession to war to the demand of being an involved parent and mate all have us confused about what "good" even means anymore. And as guys we don't need yet another magazine with no content to explore the central issue of our lives. We need to put meat on the bone, get honest, and read and talk about what really matters most. That discussion has finally arrived.

Finally,  a  REAL  Men’s  Magazine

No it's not Men's Health or Men's Journal, Maxim or Esquire, Vanity Fair or even GQ.

The Good Men Project Magazine is part of The Good Men Foundation, a registered 501(3)c charitable organization designed to help at-risk men and boys. The magazine is a cross-platform, multi-media destination featuring compelling writing about parenting, sex, relationships, identity, ethics, humor, and health. The publication's contributors include top-tier journalists commissioned to provide feature content as well as volunteer writers and bloggers. Lisa Hickey, a Boston advertising and social media consultant, will oversee the venture along with New York Times Magazine writer Benoit Denizet-Lewis. Highlights from the magazine's inaugural issue launching today include: • John Badalament on how to be a good dad (just in time for Father's Day) • Helen Peppe on raising a son who hit puberty at age 9, acted like a teenager at 10, and dated a 21-year-old when he was 15 • A.J. Jacobs on his loveless youth, his repressed emotions, and his scary computer • Pulitzer Prize winner Junot Diaz on his "jerk-off" dad, infidelity, and the ritual of getting clipped...at the barber shop • Andrew Tolve on how not to propose to your girlfriend • Tom Forrister on taking the most radical step to becoming a man: testosterone injections • Henry P. Belanger on ethics and Goldman Sachs' road to redemption
