The sun has poked it’s head out to the extent that
we’re all dreaming of strutting around the beach or
pool in the coming weeks and months. To do this, we
require a washboard stomach, and the good news is
you don’t even need to leave your house to get the
flat stomach you require.

“The idea is to target adipose tissue directly around the
abdomen!” explains Potts. “Use this protocol two to
three times per week (ideally directly following a whole
body resistance workout). HIIT causes the release of
hormones that promote the release of fats for fuel.
By pairing bouts of High Intensity exercise (we have
chosen burpees, but any full-body exercise performed
at maximum intensity is fine) with stomach exercises,
these hormones will be flowing directly through the
tissues in the abdominal region, encouraging the
release of fats in stubborn areas. Follow this with
some low-intensity cardio (light jogging, hill walking
or skipping at around 65-70% MHR) to burn off the fats
that have been released in the blood.”
