Once upon a time there lived threelittle mice. Their mom told them to go outin the world but watch out for the bigbad cat. The mice told their mom, "Don'tfear. We'll be careful."

The first mouse built his house of

paper. Soon the big bad cat came to thehouse of paper. He said, "Little mouse,little mouse, let me in." The mouse said,"No." Then the cat said, "You foolishmouse. Now I will attack your house." Thehouse trembled.

[while, in the house there waitrap door in the bedroom. The mousesaid, "I'm glad I put a trap door thatleads to my brother's* house." The littlemouse scurried to the brother's house.

Five minutes later...knock, knock,knock. "Who is it?" said the frightenedlittle mouse. "Who is at the plastichouse?" It was the big bad cat. "Let mein, you foolish mouse!" said the cat. "No!"answered the mouse. "I will attack yourhouse now," said the big bad cat. Hejumped on the house.

The mouse scurried for the secret,door in the closet. He pounced in thecloset and fell down the hole. He landedIn front of his brother. "What happenedup there?" asked the first mouse. "Thebig bad cat ruined my house!" said thesecond house. "Me.too," said the firstmouse." "Let's go to the third brother'shouse. Yay!" they said.

The two mice scurried throughtunnels, raced through caves, and ranthrough sewer pipes. Finally they got tothe third brother's house. It was made ofcement. The two brothers opened thetrap door. Their heads were in thecabinet. They got out of the cabinet. Oneof them said, "I hate that cat." Theyboth knew the cat would not come nearthe house.

through the open door and thought thathe grabbed all three mice. He gentlypulled them through the door. Instead,he pulled out bombs. The mice weren't inthe cat's paw. They were sleeping in thetrap door. The cat did not know theywere there. The cat exploded and themice never saw the cat again.
