“Goldtex Limited Garment”

Introduction:Goldtex Ltd, is a garments industry, It has been operating its activities in Bangladesh since 2005.In order to identify the different activities that are performed by Goldtex garments, which plays a vital role in our economic development, this research has been intended to be conducted by us for acquiring knowledge of garment industry. In general Goldtex garments has always tried to meet the buyer expectation to do business smoothly and to seek better position in the garments industry .

History of Ready-made Garments in Bangladesh

The Ready –Made Garments (RMG) sector of Bangladesh has emerged as the biggest earner of foreign currency. The RMG sector has experienced an exponential growth since the 1980s. The sector contributes significantly to the GDP. It also provides employment to around 4.2 million Bangladeshis. An overwhelming number of workers in this sector are women. This has affected the social status of many women coming from low income families. Bangladesh-origin products met quality standards of customers in North America and Western Europe, and prices were satisfactory. Business flourished right from the start; many owners made back their entire capital investment within a year or two and thereafter continued to realize great profits. Some 85 percent of Bangladeshi production was sold to North American customers, and virtually overnight Bangladesh became the sixth largest supplier to the North American market.

Goldtex LimitedHistory Goldtex Limited Garment Division also an offspring company of M/S Golden Crown Head –Wears Factory Ltd, Hong Kong, has gone into commercial production in the year 2005 in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) & has been meeting the growing demand of quality Trouser, Shorts, Skirts, Shirts, Blouse etc of customized designs. The state-of-the-art JUKI & BROTHER brand machineries & highly professional local & expatriate technicians have developed an in-built means for optimum for productivity with superior quality.

Recommendations: Though Goldtex garments is a reputed company but they have some problems. The following change they have to bring. Increase productivity, increase quality of the their products, more raw materials import from other countries such as cotton, silk etc .Also they need to employ more experienced employee so that they can improve their product quality as well as cost effectiveness. Moreover they need to provide special training facilities for the potential incumbents and provide better service to the customer than others company.

Conclusions:

At last I say that Every things has bad effects but which is not more than advantages for why we should go ahead with the swap world with a view to develop ourselves as well as our country because garments sector plays important role in our country which helps us to earn more foreign currencies. Moreover it creates more employment facility for the people that helps us to remove our unemployment problem.So the goverment should take proper steps to develop this sector.
