What Is An Embargo?

Publishers sometimes place a

pause of time between the release of the print edition of an article and the release of the same in an electronic, full text format. This is presumably to avoid damaging the sales of their print subscriptions. In some instances you may notice such a discrepancy in availability.

If Goldrush Doesn’t Show It ......our Library Doesn’t Have It!

• This doesn’t mean that you cannot have the article you want

• It does mean that it can only be obtained via Interlibrary Loan

• Interlibrary loans are not instant

• Articles may take as little as two days or as long as two weeks to arrive

• Plan accordingly

If your search provides you with a pop up citation & link to

Gold Rush...

It probably means we do nothave access to a full text electronic format for that periodical. It is suggested that you investigate further by proceeding directly to Gold Rush and seeing what is

available.

To Search for a Specific Periodical

•Locate Gold Rush Journal Finder under the heading of Research Databases in our Library Catalog

•Gold Rush is then found within “Nursing Databases and Websites” as well as “Research Databases”
