outreach activities dedicated to the identification of cases of trafficking.

An indicator of the achievements of the efforts of the Mobile Unit

has been the fact that for the first time the Health Centers have

been mobilized against the phenomenon to report and refer

cases related to trafficking in human beings. During January and

February 2021, the Shkodra Unit held eleven meetings with the

staff of the health centres, providing information on indicators

related to the exploitation and trafficking of human beings.

Identifying Potential Victims Of Trafficking.

These health structures have resulted as very important

resources as one of the Health Centers of the Municipality of

Shkodra has identified 3 cases of potential victims of

trafficking. An indicator of mobilization against the

phenomenon by reporting and referring cases related to

trafficking in human beings. The staff of these centers express

the desire to help people at risk of trafficking, especially in

cases where the necessary information about their

rehabilitation opportunities is lacking.

In their daily work, mobile units cooperate with local institutions and community actors who have

information on the residents in the areas where they live. Besides the meetings with health centres,

information sessions have been held with social services, community centres, school staff and

students, Egyptian community members, and others.
