SUNDAE SUNDAY & LAST DAY OF SUNDAY SCHOOL

Today our youth will lead us in worship. Our younger children will be sharing what

they have learned about chicks and ELCA World Relief, our older children will share

their model of the “The Last Supper” with us, and they will cap it off by singing with

the St. John’s Sanctuary Choir. Everyone is invited to an ice cream social downstairs in

the fellowship hall following the service. Thank you to our wonderful Sunday School

and Midweek Connection teachers who helped to make our 2017-2018 church school

year so successful. We are grateful that you share your talents with us here at St. John’s!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the ladies in our congregation. We thank God for all that

you generous and lovely women do. As a small token of our appreciation we have a

flower for each of you to take home today.

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS

CHICKS ARE HERE….!!!

Did you know that buying ten little chicks can make a big difference?! Our K-2nd grade

Sunday School children have been learning all about “God’s Work, Our Hands….no

matter how large or small!”. The children will be “selling chicks “today and sending all

monies raised to ELCA Good Gifts. Fun fact: when these little chicks are just a month

old, they will begin to lay eggs and provide nutritional meals. The many eggs are often

enough to allow a family to start a small business by selling them for additional in-

come. Visit our chicken booth downstairs during coffee hour today!
