Beliefs about God:

God is absolutely one in numerical value. Judaism accepts the law of

Moses as God's word for today, and totally rejects the deity of Jesus of

Nazareth.

monarchianism.”

The ONENESS of God - David K. Bernard

Page 80: God Understanding who and what God is

The Mystery...

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up

into glory.

I Timothy 3:16

Page 81: God Understanding who and what God is

The Mystery...

It is hard for us to understand that God could take on full humanity and still be God. We must

understand that Jesus was both fully God and not just a human filled with the power of God. He was also fully human and not just a body that 'appeared'

to be human. He had a dual nature unlike any other person in history.

...Christ had a 'Dual Nature'

Page 82: God Understanding who and what God is

The Mystery...

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him,

saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man,

makest thyself God.

John 10:32-33

...Christ had a 'Dual Nature'

Page 83: God Understanding who and what God is

The Mystery...

By understanding Christ's dual nature we can comprehend scriptures that would not make sense otherwise. When reading about Christ we often must take into account whether the passage is

referring to His humanity or His Deity (flesh or spirit). For example: As a man, Christ prayed. As

God he answered prayers.

...Christ had a 'Dual Nature'
