1. MISSING PICTOGRAMS / LA BOÎTE DE CRITÈRES IS NONFUNCTIONAL Problems : a) Upon entering the Géoboutique Québec website, the nine pictograms
indicating the categories, under the title Catégorie/Série, do not appear. b) Upon having indicated the desired product (identifier or key word) in the
Critère window and clicked on the button Afficher le résultat, no result is obtained.
Solution : Replace the URL with the following : http://geoboutique.mrnf.gouv.qc.ca

2. ACCESSING NAVIGATEUR GÉOGRAPHIQUE Problem : In the Home Page, upon having clicked on the map of Québec Précisez une
zone de recherche, you are unable to access Navigateur géographique. Solution 1 : Turn off the Pop-up Blocker and choose a security level that enables you
accept some « cookies » (ex : “High” or lower). Procedure : In the Internet Explorer menu bar, in the Tools menu, click on Pop-up Blocker
and click on Turn off Pop-up Blocker :
If you don’t have Pop-up Blocker in the Tools menu: 1. In the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools, click on Internet Options,
and Privacy; 2. Turn off Pop-up Blocker and click on OK; 3. Restart your browser.
Note : The blocker attached to Google or Ask must also be turned off, if necessary.

Solution 2 : Managing Add-ons. Secondary toolbars generated by AOL, Ask, BING, Copernic, Google, and
Search Helper (Microsoft), as well as by Windows (Live, Live Search, Messenger, Messaging) and Yahoo can conflict with the Géoboutique Québec website’s programming. and Security; 2. Click on the button Personalize Level…, Activate the necessary ActiveX
controls and plug-ins and click on OK;

4. “VISUALISER” DOESN’T WORK Problem : Upon clicking on the the Visualiser icon (an eye), a black or white window opens,. Solution : The Géoboutique Québec’s website uses Lizardtech’s MrSID technology to
display their products’ images.
As a consequence, LizardTech’s “ExpressViewBrowser Plug-in“ (MrSid) must be installed on your computer for you to view the products online. Click here to download

5. MOZILLA FIREFOX USERS Problem : You are using Mozilla Firefox and the website is not working well. Here is the procedure that we invite you to follow in order to obtain an interface
identical to Internet Explorer 7. Solution : 1. Open Mozilla and install the add-on located here :
https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/1419. 2. Add the URL : in the Tools menu of your browser, click on IE Tab Options;
then on the Sites to open with IE tab, then add Géoboutique Québec’s web address : http://geoboutique.mrnf.gouv.qc.ca/.

6. UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD A PRODUCT Problem : Upon attempting to download a product on the Géoboutique Québec website,
you are unable to access the download dialog box. Solution : Temporarily disable your antivirus (ex. : Norton’s Utilities, McAfee Antivirus, etc.). Procedure : While downloading a product from the Géoboutique Québec website, it would be
advisable to temporarily disable your antivirus and reactivate it as soon as you have finished downloading :
1. Place your mouse over the antivirus icon, situated in the system’s tray
(bottom, right corner of your desktop). 2. Click on the right button of your mouse and choose Disable from the pull
down menu. 3. Upon clicking on the product’s hyperlink, you should see a dialog box asking
for authorization to display non-secure elements (please see example, below).
4. Reactivate antivirus after having downloaded your product and repeat steps
1 and 2, choosing Enable.

7. DISPLAYING THE “NAVIGATEUR GÉOGRAPHIQUE” WITH INTERNET EXPLORER 9 Problem : Upon opening Géoboutique Québec’s “Navigateur géographique“, the grid-lined
map of Québec doesn’t appear.
To check which version of Internet Explorer you are using, click on ? in the Internet Explorer menu and click on About Internet Explorer.
Solution : Activate the Compatibility tool
Procedure : 1. Click the View Compatibility icon located to the right of the URL address bar.
Note : If you are not in the Géoboutique Québec website, the View Compatibility icon will not be present in the URL address bar.
2. If the icon is not present, click on the Tools menu and click on View
Compatibility.
Generally, the the grid-lined map of Québec should automatically display in the “Navigateur géographique” window.
