CandolimThe long straight stretch of Cando lim Beach is lined w ith shacks and ba rs, which back onto scrub covered sand d unes. It's alively beach that ha s managed to retain its cleanliness, and even p eacefulness in some areas , making it a good alternative tothe maddeningly crowded Calangute and Baga. You'll find plenty of tasty restaurants and happening nightspots in the area.Cand olim Beach is right next to Aguada Fort, which is also wo rth a visit.

Chapora & VagatorVagator Bea ch, north of Anjuna, is the center of Goa's trance party scene. The bea ch itself is located at the b ottom of a steepcliff, and is divided into three sections -- Big Vagtor (the main stretch of be ach, overrun by Indian tourists), Little Vagator (pas tthe rocks, known as Tel Aviv Beach due to the n umber of Israelis there) and Ozran (Spagetthi Beach in the far south, dominatedby Italians). ColvaBusy Colva Beach is a favorite amongst do mestic Indian tourists, and da y-trippers arrive by the bus loads . On the wee kend, thecrowd explode s with locals as w ell. The bea ch also gets p articularly busy in October, whe n hoards of pilgrims come and visitColva Church. The area is well developed with plenty of budget hotels, beach shacks, food stalls, and small restaurants andbars. The de velopment hasn't how ever extend ed to n ightlife, which is minimal apa rt from a few places. Overall, this be ach reallydoes n't have much to offer foreigners compared to other bea ches in Goa.

Quite a bit of land in the area around Morjim and Ashwem has been bought by Russians, who aresettling there e n mass. It's poss ible to wa lk to Mandrem from Arambol.
