It is Gods will for us to serve Him in the local congregation.SOME TRUTHS ABOUT THE LOCAL CONGREGATION The local congregation is composed of Christians that meet in one location. It is the local congregation that serves as the context in which we exercise our faith and service to the Lord. 1 Peter 2:16-17 - Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God. 17 Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king. Ephesians 5:18-21 - 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; 21 and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25 - 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
