• Dr William Gray, a pioneer in the science of seasonal hurricane forecasts told a packed lecture hall at the University of North Carolina that humans were not responsible for the warming of the earth.

• In some fields the science is indeed "settled." For example, plate tectonics, once highly controversial, is now so well-established that we rarely see papers on the subject at all. But the science of global climate change is still in its infancy, with many thousands of papers published every year.

• In a 2003 poll conducted by German environmental researchers Dennis Bray and Hans von Storch, two-thirds of more than 530 climate scientists from 27 countries surveyed did not believe that "the current state of scientific knowledge is developed well enough to allow for a reasonable assessment of the effects of greenhouse gases." About half of those polled stated that the science of climate change was not sufficiently settled to pass the issue over to policymakers at all.

• “Solar scientists predict that, by 2020, the sun will be starting into its weakest Schwabe solar cycle of the past two centuries, likely leading to unusually cool conditions on Earth.” R. Timothy Patterson, Ph.D.

• Horner continues: Other much larger glaciers nearby are advancing without the pleasure of angst-ridden eco-tourists and pencil-gnawing journalists. • The Frankfurt School invented “Critical Theory” which had the goal of demonizing all traditional institutions such as family, fatherhood, patriotism, Bible-believing churches, traditions, etc.

• The Frankfurt School published Studies in Prejudice which taught that anyone who believes in traditional Western Christian culture is prejudiced, a “racist” or “sexist” or “fascist” or is mentally unstable.

• Mixing Freud with Marx, they perfected the technique of psychological conditioning—thus, for example, TV shows abortion to be normal behavior.

• TV shows Christians to be crazy, intolerant, bigoted, judgmental fools.

• Herbert Marcuse, working with Hollywood friends, became a leading “evangelist” of Cultural Marxism (Political Correctness) especially on the university campuses of USA.

• “In his book Eros and Civilization, he argued that by freeing sex from any restraints, we could elevate the pleasure principle over the reality principle and create a society with no work, only play (Marcuse coined the phrase, “Make love, not war”). A single volcano spews more "greenhouse gasses" into the atmosphere than mankind

has produced since the industrial revolution. That level of volcanic pollution, over which

man has no control whatsoever, can be compared to the immensity of our sin,

inherited from Adam (Isaiah 64:6), which we can by no means reverse or resolve on our

own.

With this backdrop in mind, just as it is impossible to reverse the pollution produced by a volcano

and its impact on any so-called "global warming" by switching to a new type of light bulb, so it is impossible to earn our way into heaven by any works of righteousness which we have done,

however many or sincere (Titus 3:4-7; Ephesians 2:8-10).
