2008 GLOBAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 1

Welcome to the 2008 Global Leadership Summit, an opportunity designed to equip you with the tools essential to optimum self-development. Each year we are pleased to welcome leaders from diverse nations who choose to join in this leadership forum to prepare themselves for becoming a part of the solution to the leadership crisis seen throughout our world. Our theme this year, “Discovering and Refining your Leadership Gift,” taps into the heart of leadership concepts. I am convinced that trapped within every follower is an undiscovered leader, and this leadership potential is tied to an individual’s personal leadership gift. During this Summit, we will address, explore, and ignite this vast untapped potential, which is hidden in every individual. True leadership goes far beyond the mechanics of most of the approaches that pervade our leadership programs today. Why? True leadership is simply self-manifestation. While many philosophies of leadership hold that leadership is for an elite group, the anatomy of the human spirit reveals that every individual was created and designed with a seed of influence on the inside of them. This seed must be exposed and manifested to the world. It is the assignment of every human being to find and refine their leadership gift to become agents of change in the world. This week you will hear presentations on leadership principles and concepts, which have often been lost in the sea of misguided modern leadership philosophies. The men and women of our Summit faculty are both excellent speakers and examples of dynamic agents of change. Also, with every fellow Summit delegate you meet this week, remember that you are connecting to another individual designed to be a leading success. Take time to network with these diverse leaders that come from every level of society. To all the visitors to our Bahamian shores, I extend a special greeting and welcome to our islands. We trust that you will enjoy our unique Bahamian culture, including our cuisine, hospitality, and beautiful island landscape. And to all of our distinguished guests, I welcome you on behalf of my wife, Pastor Ruth Munroe, the Executive Council and Trustees of the International Third World Leaders Association, and Myles Munroe International.

JONAS GONZALEZ

Jonas Gonzalez is president of the International Broadcasting Network TBN-Enlace, that has offices in 23 countries with

personnel of more than 700 employees. This Network was founded by his father Mr. Jonas Gonzalez Rodriguez, over twenty years ago. The ministry of TBN-Enlace is a ministry of global outreach and is seen in more than one hundred and seventy four countries, through 7 satellites that cover the USA, Caribbean, Europe, Northern Africa and parts of the Middle East. Born in a Christian home, with Christian missionary parents in Latin America, Mr. Gonzalez has been given the responsibility to continue the vision given to his father and expand it even more. In 2000 the Lord gave him a vision to buy a mountain and establish a 24 hour prayer center, where prayer services can be being held for of all the needs of the Spanish speaking people, but also where men and women of God can come and spend time with the Lord and pray for His people. What started as a small project has now expanded not only for interces-sion but also as a clinic for children with limited resources, a meeting center, a place for retreats, and an organic cultivation project to teach God’s people how to eat healthy. In 2007, Jonas received a word from the Lord to take the TBN-Enlace signal into Brazil, and in that same year was blessed to be able to purchase a Television station in the city of Bello Horizonte. At the same time he signed an agreement with Nossa TV, operator of the DTH System of Technology, which has the potential to transmit throughout all of Brazil. The Lord has raised Jonas Gonzalez up as a voice in Latin America, to bring conviction to His people regarding financial freedom. For this he has received from God a message against debt, and a calling to create what he himself has termed the “Cash Culture.” He is the author of two books that are dedicated to helping Christians in Latin America find biblical answers to get out of the sphere of failure and lack to a full and abundant life in Christ. As a passionate follower of the Word, he offers a fresh and new revela-tion about the importance of obedience and the reward of those who decide to fulfill God’s purposes. Jonas and his wife reside in San Jose, Costa Rica with their two daugh-ters, Rebecca and Melissa.

WILSON NG KOH BENG

Wilson is the owner of one of the largest state-of-the-art printing companies in East Asia, Akitiara

Corporation. In 1998 he was cheated and victimized almost to bankruptcy by former business partners. Before that time he considered himself “a hard working and religious man, but God was more of a servant to me than I was to him.” Having repented, Wilson started Akitiara with five employees and a single printing machine. Today the company has 90 employees. Wilson uses his successful secular business enterprise to bless the Kingdom of God. Besides offering free artwork and design and printing books and other literature for Christian ministries at a vastly reduced rate, Wilson provides work permits for for-eign pastors who otherwise would not be admitted into Malaysia, enabling them to minister in that country. He uses company ve-hicles and buildings for the purposes of Christian ministries, and his company supports Christian orphanages. Wilson serves on the board of International Christian Mis-sion and served as its director for Indonesia. He is the director for the Philippines, where he has planted many churches. His most notable accomplishment in that country is to implement the Moral Recovery Program, an effort mandated by the Philippine government to stem the tide of moral corruption in its police and security system. As a result, every single police and security of-ficer in the country receives thorough and intensive teaching of biblical principles which are required to receive a certificate. The teachers are even allowed to give altar calls, and the entire pro-gram is government financed. So far in 2008 almost 1,000 police personnel have gone through the program. Wilson engages in missionary endeavors throughout East Asia, where he is particularly effective in reaching business and leadership groups. He is an executive in the Full Gospel Busi-nessmen’s Fellowship and the national coordinator in Malaysia for Christians for Israel. He is an active preacher and teacher in churches, businessmen’s meetings, and Christian fellowship groups. He has been instrumental in raising millions of dollars for Christian relief aid for tsunami and typhoon victims in Indo-nesia and Myanmar and ministry support for various countries in East Asia. Bro. Ng Koh Beng (Wilson) resides in Malaysia with his wife and three children. He attends the Assemblies of God Church in Kota Kemuning.
