What our MBA students said about their recent global residency Sept 2010:
• 1. Did the programme of the last week meet your expectations? Yes / No and why?
• Yes and above. A fascinating and stimulating trip• Yes, the programme taught me more about the culture and business
model in SA• It exceeded my expectations. I have learnt so much, laughed,
experienced en enjoyed• Yes, it exceeded my expectations in all aspects. The course
allowed us to experience the cultural richness of SA• Yes, completely – came to understand African diversity in terms of
both business-making and cultural. Got both theoretical and practical experience. Furthermore, afforded me to establish my network (first contacts) for better understanding how to penetrate SA/African markets
• 2. In what way was the programme of value to you?
• A greater understanding of the people and cultures of South Africa• The company visit added value to me which is a good example of
entrepreneurship in an emerging country• Learning about another culture and has been inspiring and
enlightening. • It provided an opportunity to understand how SA is transforming its
culture and how companies and individuals have adapted their business models and strategies to meet their own goals and journeys
• Starting by the “reality check” of the “township”, that illustrates the African culture and challenges. Will add value and credit to company visits to understand each business models
