J.W. Williams, Inc. opened its doors in Casper, Wyoming on July 15, 1963 and has the oldest ASME Code facilities in Wyoming. Much of the company's success is due to its founder John William Williams and his son, J. Max Williams. In the sixties and seventies, John designed customized equipment such as free water knock-outs and special separators to handle 120-130 degree gas dripping with paraffin. He also developed distribution rings for glycol absorber towers that more evenly distributed the glycol through the tower's packing, now an industry standard. Today, J.W. Williams, Inc. is owned 100% by URS/Flint Energy Services Flint provides a full range of integrated mid-stream construc-tion and production services through 62 operating locations found throughout western and northern Canada, southern and mid-western U.S.A., and in the Rocky Mountains.
