It gives me great pleasure through this brochure to introduce you to the services provided by the Global Energy Group.

We are a contracting and service based company, based in Scotland and operating around the world. While we principally support the international energy industry, delivering turnkey project solutions and stand-alone services, we also work across a range of other sectors.

oil and Gas Fabrication

Our fabrication service was born out of the oil and gas industry and continues to be our largest business sector.

Operators We specialise in construction of process modules, deck extensions, subsea manifolds, protection structures and complex components for oil and gas exploration.

renewable Energy

Our facilities, experience and expertise have placed us in a position of strength to meet the fabrication and engineering needs of the renewable energy sector.

Our long association with this evolving industry began with projects for hydro electric power stations. We have since become one of the first UK companies to win fabrication contracts for offshore wind equipment.

We continue to support other land and sea based renewables projects around the UK. Our capabilities have allowed us to make a seamless move into wave power, where our work on prototype generators has established us as leaders in this emerging field.

Infrastructure

A drive to diversify into new markets resulted in us winning several significant contracts for road and rail bridge construction, installation and on-site strengthening.

We have replaced or refurbished all the lock gates on the Caledonian Canal in Scotland and carried out similar tasks on the Manchester Ship Canal – projects involving heavy lifts with mobile cranes, often at inhospitable sites.

Inspection, Survey, rope Access and DivingWe supply comprehensive inspection, survey testing and diving services to the oil and gas industry and other sectors.

Reel was formed in 1995 to provide a comprehensive inspection and testing service, including non-destructive testing, to the oil and gas industry.

A renowned service company, operating from key international business locations in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia, Reel joined the Global Energy Group in 2008. Employing a highly effective workforce offering specialist skills and experience, our work is predominantly for drilling contractors and oilfield service companies.

Offshore: We have extensive expertise and experience in building offshore pipelines and can provide our clients with the range of component options that can be configured into the ideal system for their needs.

Landlines: CRC-EVANS Automatic Welding pioneered automated welding over 35 years ago. They have constructed over 42,000 miles (67,200 km) of pipelines around the world, stretchingacrossthefrozenarctic, through dense tropical jungles, over land based scorching deserts, and everywhere in between.

Civil Engineering

Refurbishment projects form a major part of our work for power generation and utility companies throughout the country. This includes stripping out, on-site blasting, painting and reinstatement, often in remote and difficult sites to tight timescales.

We carry out major works for the process engineering sector through renewal, upgrade and modification of process lines.

We have carried out several port facility enhancements throughout the UK and abroad.

Many of our clients choose to engage us as a single source for all disciplines as opposed to organising a number of single skill contractors. We coordinate all facets of construction from foundation level and project manage installation of machinery, materials handling, power and other utilities. Commissioning and operator training complete the scope of work.
