Cebu, PhilippinesWith a focus on sustainability, Lexmark Cebu participated in an annual mangrove planting and coastal clean-up event in partnership with DENR-CENRO.

In 2017, Lexmark installed LED lighting in 25 classrooms at Mabolo National High School, providing a financial and environmental benefit. Employees educated Mabolo National High school students on the importance of waste segregation. Volunteers also added signage to waste bins to help continue environmental best practices in the school.

Realizing the importance of water conservation, employees designed and constructed a rainwater catchment system for the benefit of the Gawad Kalinga village. The harvested water can be used by community members for watering of plants and cleaning.

Kolkata, IndiaWorking with the Tagore Society for Rural Development, Lexmark India provided support for over 90 poverty-stricken families to purchase fertilizer during monsoon season, as well as support for an additional 60 families to purchase the livestock of their choice. The team also distributed fruit trees to 250 families. These goods will help the families generate needed income.

The Lexmark India CSR team, in association with the WISH Foundation, held an event to plant 75 fruit-bearing tree saplings at a local citizens’ park.
