Welcome to the 2014/15 ski and snowboard season!

Last season marked our 50th anniversary at Glen Eden, and we are proud to say that it was one of the longest and most successful seasons we have had to date. Despite some seasonal challenges that came with the ice storm, our snow conditions were fantastic thanks to the combined effort of our amazing snowmaking team and Mother Nature.

Our priority at Glen Eden has always been and will continue to be the guest experience. Our employees are here to make each of your visits with us better than the last. We offer one of the top snow schools in Ontario, with experienced instructors who take pride in your success and enjoyment of this lifelong winter sport. We are always here to connect with our guests and to receive any feedback to further improve Glen Eden. The Terrain Park is the only place at Glen Eden where high fives are mandatory. It offers something for everyone. From tame flat boxes, to gnarly double kink handrails, and everything in between. We build our park to focus on progression so you have the perfect venue to dial in whatever trick you’re working on.

Remember, Terrain Park Passes and helmets are required for the Nighthawk and Falcon Terrain Parks. Oh, and don’t forget about that high five either.

Park Programs are available in two ability levels. Terrain Park Basics is a great intro to learning new terrain. Jumps & Jibs is perfect for anyone who has learned the basics. We also offer a great Adult Terrain Park option for those wanting to play just like the kids.

Push your abilities by learning how to create, manage and control your speed. Racing can be a lifelong way to challenge yourself. Learn to Race is a great introduction to racing and a perfect stepping stone to more competitive programs.

INSTRUCTOR PREP(13+)

Your first step toward becoming an instructor. The Level 1 Prep will help you sharpen your skills, and learn the basics of teaching. This is a highly recommended program for anyone wishing to Apprentice with the Snow School at 14 years old.

LADIES DAY (18+)

This is one program that you don’t want to miss. Ladies Day is 2 hours of lesson time, followed by a social lunch. As if the lessons, laughs, and food weren’t enough, we are happy to partner with Corbetts Ski and Snowboard again this season. Corbetts will bring in a little extra excitement each week with prizes, demos and more. Plus a chance to win a trip to Big White!

Apprentice Program (14+)The Glen Eden Snow School is one of the country’s largest and most highly qualified snow schools. The Apprentice Program provides you with an opportunity to learn from the best, shadow lesson programs to practice your trade, and gain experience that should give you the edge on your certification course. Plus, it will help put you a step ahead when applying to work in the snow sports industry. This is a volunteer position with no associated fees. Look for the job posting through the employment link on gleneden.on.ca and get your resume ready!

Certification Courses (15+): Once you are ready, becoming a certified instructor requires certification with the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA), or Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). Glen Eden is proud to host several courses with each organization every season.
