Student Learning Outcomes At the completion of this exercise, students will be able to learn:

Laboratory apparatus used in both general chemistry and biology 03 can be divided into two broad categories: (1) glassware and (2) equipment. Each piece of apparatus is designed to be used for one or more specific purposes. Figures 5(a) on pages 12 and 13 show illustrations, names, uses and sizes of most glassware and general equipment that will be used during the semester; be sure you know the names and uses of each item shown.
