Hi Resolution imaging in laminated safety glass

the latest addition to idC Colourfield’s range of services is Hi Resolution digital imaging in glass.

specializing in onyx, marble & stone images the digital image is printed on to the interlayer between 2 pieces of Class 1 laminated safety glass with stunning results at a fraction of the cost of the actual stone.

and because the product meets as/nZ 2208 grade a safety glass standards it makes an ideal choice for just about any application including bar fronts, splashbacks, balustrades, shower screens, l ift interiors & building facades.

another benefit of the product is if a panel is ever damaged it can be replaced with an identical matching panel due to the digital printing process.

Jade By tHe sea

shown here is an example of a digital image of onyx in laminated safety glass used in the Jade by the sea project on the gold Coast. the developers used the product as an architectural feature of the project behind spa pools over 6 floors of the building. it was not feasible to use the real stone due to building code restrictions given the external nature of the application.

Bulldogs BaR

the refurbishment of the Bulldogs Rugby league football Club involved the creation of a new bar area on the ground floor where altis architects used idC Colourfield’s digital imaging of onyx to great effect. With building code standards in mind, the architects specified 9.52mm laminated safety glass. the face of the bar was also back lit for additional effect.

neWCastle Wests leagues CluB

the refurbishment of the newcastle Wests leagues Club marble Bar also saw the refurbishment of a wall adjacent to the bar. the 8 panel glass wall was backlit & provides a stunning division between the auditorium & back of house.

maid and magPie Hotel - adelaide

the refurbishment of the maid & magpie Hotel in adelaide also involved the building of a new bar upstairs known as the loft Bar. Here idC Colourfield’s l ight green onyx image was used in 11.52mm toughened laminated glass on the top of the bar as well as the face of the bar, with stunning results.
