GRAND KERALA SHOPPING FESTIVAL

The GKSF is a unique shopping fiesta that redefines the very essence and enjoyment of shopping.

Conducted by Tourism Department in co-ordination with the Industries & Commerce Department, Finance Department and Local Self Government Department

The festival, managed by Government of Kerala, is on its fifth edition, which starts from December 1, 2011 and concludes by January 15, 2012.

OBJECTIVE

•To make Kerala an international shopping destination and to promote tourism and traditional products of Kerala

SPECIAL FEATURES

•Kochi will offer a midnight shopping experience to customers for 14 days from December 20.

•101 Kgs gold will be given as prizes. Mega prize will be 1 Kg gold for 1 person and 2nd prize will be ½ Kg gold each for 3 persons.

•Daily draw GKSF introduces daily draws from season 5 onwards. 1 sovereign of Gold coins shall be distributed through these draws.

•Weekly draw Previous year GKSF introduced digital draw and this year it will be continued. Weekly draw includes those coupons which are sold out for that particular week and the winning coupon numbers will be notified in Print media and will also be listed on GKSF website www.shoppingfestival.in. A total of 6 weekly draws will be there with in the 46 days of festival period.'

•How Bumper or Mega prize are drawn?

•Once the shopping festival is concluded (after Jan 15th) a final draw - Mega Draw - will be conducted. All the coupon numbers which are sold out for the 46 day festival period are included in this Mega Draw. Coupon numbers which are already included in the weekly draws will also be included in this final draw.

•The Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF), which had logged a combined turnover of Rs 5,000 crore during the past four seasons, is expected to touch a turnover of Rs 2,500 crore during the current season which starts on December 1 this year.
