SAP policy needs to state how GPA and pace are affected by:
• Incompletes,

• Repeated coursework,

• Can only be used if checking SAP each payment period.
• Financial aid warning status is assigned automatically and student is still eligible to receive aid during the financial aid warning term. Students do not need to appeal to be given financial aid warning status.
• If SAP standards are not met during financial aid warning term, students are put on suspension and an appeal can be filed if schools allow it. IASFAA 2014

• School option to allow or limit the number of times a student can appeal
• Reasons for an appeal

An injury or illness of the student

Academic plans may be included as a condition of a financial aid warning status, a financial aid probation status, or the approval of an appeal at the school’s option
May stipulate payment period restrictions:
• Number of credit/clock hours taken
• Registration in specified courses
• Requirement of certain grade point average
