2 – INSPECTION

Relentless dedication to quality Each stage of our production process is examined to ensure a quality product. Hand measurement, CMM equipment and a fully equipped laboratory that boasts hardness testing, microscopes, stereoscopes and acid etching are just a few of the techniques we utilise.

3 – END FORMING

Quality and consistency Examination and assessment of each and every pipe end form is made by our Inspection Team. We monitor the performance of this inspection to further improve our processes.

Tooling controlKanban systems ensure all specialist tooling is always available to perform when needed.

Tooling condition is reviewed and assessed regularly to ensure pipe end forms are always completed to specification.

4 - AUTOFRETTAGE

Improved Performance Pre-stressing or Autofrettage is required to achieve the very best performance from a fuel line in service; at Giro we can cater for these requirements with hydraulic rig capabilities in excess of 10,000bar.

We’re pushing the boundaries to improve our product.

5 – PIPE BENDING Accuracy and efficiency We utilise our closed loop coordinate measuring system to greatly reduce bending machine set up times and ensure accuracy. We have invested in the latest co-ordinate measuring software to allow importing of our CAD Solid Models.

6 – BENCH FITTINGPrecision fitting to fixtureThe world’s finest bending machines can‘t finish bend some of the complex shapes required by our customers. We can rely on the talent of our Precision Pipe Fitters to complete the job.

Expert skill may required to fashion pipes from machine bent to a full engine fit.

Our dedication to training and a talented workforce ensure our customers receive whatever is needed. Calibrated checking fixtures and bespoke bench bend tooling aid the Fitters; it’s all designed in house.

7 – STOCK CONTROLTube storage and stock controlGiro uses only the world's finest H.P. tubing within a product that we are suitably proud. • Stock control is exacting and waste is kept to a minimum. This is aided by our ERP system which is utilised to retain the traceability you would expect from an ISO9001:2008 company.

• Pipe parts are selected and made available to Precision Pipe Fitters in time for set job start dates.

8 – CLEANLINESSProduct flushing and testingCustomer specific cleanliness requirements and standards are achieved through a range of careful measures and testing procedures. Giro has invested significant time and capital in the study of standards and in the procurement of the wide range of specialist equipment necessary. • Training of operators and of Inspection staff is regularly carried out; we ensure the ever-evolving specifications and techniques required are part of our skill set. • Giro records and documents physical and analytical evidence for future reference.
