In Girls in Gaming we learn a lot from many fabulous speakers.

“I still wanna learn more about flash....It seems pretty easy

when we have Sandy and Robin helping us”

Robin and Sandy Debreuil gave us an introduction to Flash. Robin taught us how to build a menu system to get to various parts of the game. Sandy taught us how to animate a face.

Heather Kelley from Artificial Mind and Movement (Montreal) visited Miami, River East and Argyle schools to talk to the girls

and review their games for them.

Coree Francisco presented the group with an overview of the insdustry with a lot of great examples from her own experience at iC Group and Girlone

Ryan Fitzgerald talked about types of games and gaming in Manitoba. He also

led us through a couple of games of

Werewolves

“I had a pre-conceived idea about gaming and it's been abolished.”

team you could really do great things in the games industry.”

Margaret Meijers, a technology coordinator from Australia showed us how to use GameMaker at a much higher level

“Kevin was so fun. I also loved all the info about the

interactive gaming technology out there.”

Kevin Hnatiuk (New Media Manitoba) gave a presentation of the video interviews he did at the IGDC in San Francisco.
