EARLY WORK Vasari’s first teacher was

Lucca Signorelli. His next teacher was

Guillaume de Marcillat. Met Michelangelo and

Raphael. Studied under

Michelangelo.

EARLY WORK (CONT.) Vasari then went

to work under Francesco Salviati.

Helped recover “David” satue for Michelangelo.

to Rome in 1564, he started to write a book on the lives of famous artists. Even before then, he was collecting bits of information since 1543.
