GinYuu – The strength of two worlds About 2 years after the pilot project in Frankfurt, Kent Hahne and Claus
Sauer revived their concept of GinYuu at the end of 2013. The first
GinYuu location is now at the Erich Ollenhauer House, the former SPD
headquarters, in Bonn
The focus here is the Pan-Asian-Pacific cuisine, using fresh and
aromatic flavor filled products without additives. Guests participate
in the creation of each individual dish prepared in the front cooking
area. Each guests’ food and drink selections are stored on to a chip
card which allows guests to move independently and freely within the
restaurant according to his wishes and preference.
Individual attention from our Ginyiis gives the guest the homey feeling
of sitting in his living room with friends rather than in a restaurant. Open
seating creates a relaxed togetherness amongst all guests in the
spacious lounge area.
The mix of lifestyle and traditional newly-defined Pan-Asian Pacific
cuisine creates a new world for the guest, a world in which he can
immerse himself and relax while absorbing the exquisite food flavors
and taste with all his senses. And our Ginyiis are always by his side as

Motto „Gin nai, gin yuu“ is a Thai proverb which loosely translated means: „Eat simple, live easier.“ This motto is
in contrast to the well-known „German virtues“..

which is built on a large inventory control system and stockpiling.

their daily work is the direct communication with our guests. Ginyiis are

and explanatory dialog.

Locations GinYuu restaurants are normally found in the city center next to retail
and/or shopping areas as well as office locations. Site planning of
the location is based on demographic data and purchasing power
criteria. The success of the concept therefore calls for more intensive
expansion. Therefore we ready to acquire partners nationally and
internationally which includes the franchising of our concept.

• A1-A2 or B1-B2, city center area with a population of 100,000 residents
including commuter area with 200,000 resident
• Adjacent to shopping areas with premium retailers
• Adjacent to office buildings
• Ample parking spaces or parking garages in the immediate vicinity
Size of Location
• Ideal size between 300-800 m2, ground floor with a minimum size of
300 m2
• Facility space either in basement or first floor
Visibility
• Preferably corner locations or pedestrian traffic zone with good
visibility, high and large glass front with modern architectural building
design or high quality old and/or renovated building (, at least 10 m of
window area)
Construction
• High ceilings and bright rooms, preferably square base for open show
kitchen
• Outdoor patio area is a must
Technical Construction
• Air Condition and ventilation system with minimum capacity 5-6
fold in the dining area and 5-6- fold in the kitchen (air supply 8,000
- 12,000 m3, exhaust 4000-8000 m3) (Note that this is according to
German specifications)
• 100-140 KW minimum power supply with 200 A electrical fuse
• Grease separator required

Individual Franchising GinYuu is looking for franchisees who initially are interested in
opening an individual restaurant. For this purpose, cities with
a population of 250,000 to 500,000 are most suitable. Opening
additional restaurants is also possible - depending on the GinYuu
evaluation criteria. However, the individual franchisee will receive
neither development protection nor a contractual development
agreement. Limited area protection will be granted.
Area Development Franchising The area development franchising option allows franchisees
to develop a city or region domestically or internationally. For
starters, a development plan will be agreed upon in advance
with GinYuu. The franchisee will receive extensive area and
development protection according to his agreement. Furthermore,
a development fee is due upon finalization of the development
agreement. This fee will be determined according to the
stipulations in the respective development agreement.

International Franchising For international Franchise projects, only the area development franchising
option is available. For this option, the franchisee is tasked with identifying
and considering local cultural aspects – as soon as the development
planning begins. In foreign countries the capital requirements will be
higher than for the domestic area franchising in Germany.
Franchise fees A one-time fee in the amount of 30.000, - Euro (franchise fee) per restaurant
is required for all franchise programs. In addition, an ongoing fee of 6%
of the net sales for the use of the GinYuu brand name and the GinYuu
system (royalty) is due. The payment method for the one-time franchise
fee varies depending on the franchise program. The ongoing franchise
fees are payable monthly in all programs for each restaurant. In addition, a
promotional fee in the amount of 1% of the net sales will be applied. .
You should be able to meet the following franchise criteria:• Dedication with clear allocation of responsibilities either individually or
within a small team
• Leadership qualities
• Strong social skills
• Entrepreneurial thinking and decision-making ability
• Business assessment knowledge
• Equity of at least 350,000, - Euro, of which 200,000 -. Euros should be in
cash or liquid assets
• Gastronomical systems experience (not mandatory)
• Willingness to change location
• Ability to cooperate and intent to mutually succeed
• If available: suitable property / location
