3 TCS gifted students cultivate creative confidence! The Exploration Lab has been selected as an Imagination Chapter, sponsored by the Imagination Foundation. As one out of 130 Chapters in the world, The Exploration Lab and iSpace students will have enhanced opportunities to delve deeper into making and technology. The Exploration Lab Kindergarten through Second Grades Gifted/Accelerated cluster classes on all grade levels Enrichment/20% Time Model Pullout services one day per week, all day Conversation French instruction Computer Science – Learn to code! Third through Seventh Grades Departmentalized Gifted/Accelerated cluster classes on all grade levels Students in grades 5-7 can participate in our Imagination Space (iSpace)—a technology exploration class Students use cutting-edge technology in their work of learning and creating. Students create computer programs by developing code. They also create movies and presentations to demonstrate their learning. Students also have the opportunity to use microcontrollers, 3D printers, and other electronics to create prototypes of their design thinking work. Inquiry-Based Learning Technology COPA Music Program Gifted students participate in one of the most exciting programs in Palm Beach County--our COPA Instrumental Music Program! Students will receive up to 7 hours of orchestral music instruction per week. Research shows that playing an instrument can improve problem-solving skills and improve overall academic performance. Come join us—there’s a spot for you in the orchestra! Inquiry-based learning is a transformative approach, through which students pose questions and do research to guide their understanding of content. We help gifted students find authentic sparks in their learning to engage in this process. Through IBL, students take ownership of their learning and develop products to share their understandings with their school community.
